Learning Mahārah Al-Kitābah with the Imlā' Method for Private Madrasah Tsanawiyah Students

Abstract

In learning, educators will find small problems that occur which can even become large or complex problems if not handled immediately. This research aims to find out what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in learning mahārah al-kitābah using the imlā' method for private Madrasah Tsanawiyah students. This research is qualitative research using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman method which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this research show that (1) the supporting factors in mahārah al-kitābah learning are students' enthusiasm for learning, a conducive environment, and support from friends, (2) the inhibiting factors are diverse students because not all students have different backgrounds. Islamic or Arabic-based religious schools, inadequate classroom facilities, some students who have difficulty connecting letters, and students who are sleepy or unfocused.
