Abstract

An important phenomenon that has colored the dynamics of scientific thought and the transformation of society in the last three decades of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century is the global crisis that concerns all aspects of life. Science and technology, which have been glorified as the 'gods' of modern human life, have actually 'aggravated' the crisis. Everyone then thought of doing therapy to cure the malaise faced by humanity. The dynamics of the thinking of Muslim scientists then emerged the idea of Islamization of science as one of the injections that is expected to treat the malaise of the people and re-establish the Islamic civilization that is now buried. However, the rise of thought from this oppression is still littered with the dark trauma of Western colonialism, so it seems as if Islam does not provide a strong enough foundation for the building of human civilization.
