This research discussed the urgency and relevance of the application of adultery law in the context of modern society with the maqāṣid al-syarī'ah approach. The law of adultery is part of ḥudūd which textually has a strong foundation in the Qur'an and Sunnah. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a library research method. However, modern challenges such as globalization, the development of information technology, and the influence of liberal culture have created new complexities in the application of this law. This study analyzes social dynamics, the impact of digital media, and shifting moral values in society on the perception and implementation of adultery law. In addition, the discussion focuses on efforts to contextualize Islamic law through maqāṣid al-syarī'ah in order to balance the demands of sharia and contemporary social realities. Using a normative-qualitative approach, this article emphasizes the importance of reformulating the application of adultery law wisely, fairly, and preventively so that it remains in line with the values of justice, protection of honor, and the benefit of the people.
