Mistakes in pausing or beginning the recitation can lead to shifts in meaning that affect the reader's understanding. Through a literature study approach, this research explores the definitions, legal basis, and classifications of waqf and ibtida’ according to classical and contemporary qira’ah scholars. Data was obtained from tajwid books, qira’ah literature, and relevant academic references. The results show that proper application of waqf and ibtida’ not only helps improve the quality of tilawah, but also preserves the continuity of the verses’ meanings so they are not interrupted or misinterpreted. Correct understanding of waqf signs in the mushaf also aids the qari in determining reading pauses. Therefore, mastery of the knowledge of waqf and ibtida’ is an essential part of performing the Qur'an recitation in a tartil manner, with precise meaning, and in accordance with the guidance of scholars.
2025-12-21T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Aminhttps://ejournal.staialamin.ac.id/index.php/pgmi/article/view/567Strategy for Internalizing Religious Values Through the Subject of Faith and Morals in Shaping Student Discipline at MI NW Anjani2026-01-01T09:44:14+00:00Hilmanhilm4n69@gmail.com
Education is not only aimed at developing students’ intellectual intelligence but also at shaping their character. In practice, Indonesia still faces various moral problems, such as increasing deviant behaviors, violations of school rules, low discipline, and declining politeness among students. Previous studies have emphasized the importance of character education based on religious values; however, few studies have specifically examined the strategies used by teachers to internalize religious values in shaping students’ disciplinary character. This gap becomes the focus of the present study. This study employed a qualitative descriptive case study method with a field research approach conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdlatul Wathan (MI NW) Anjani. Data were collected through participant observation, structured interviews, and documentation, while data analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Akidah Akhlak teachers implement strategies for internalizing religious values through several approaches, including habit formation, exemplary behavior, embedding values in lesson materials, positive reinforcement and rewards, as well as corrective guidance and educational sanctions. Supporting factors for the success of these strategies include the active role of teachers as role models, curricula that integrate religious values, a religious school environment, and collaboration with parents. In contrast, limiting factors include insufficient facilities and infrastructure and lack of parental support. In conclusion, the internalization of religious values through Akidah Akhlak lessons effectively shapes students’ disciplinary character, provided it is supported by exemplary teachers, a conducive school environment, and parental involvement. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of a holistic approach to character education, combining academic learning with religious values consistently both at school and at home.
2025-12-24T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 https://ejournal.staialamin.ac.id/index.php/pgmi/article/view/572Early Childhood Learning Assessment2026-01-04T17:07:25+00:00Aili Erisaailierisa871@gmail.comGhina Yunitaghinayunita604@gmail.comSilvia Ramadhani Arsaailierisa871@gmail.comNurul Aulia Kuswari Lubisnurulaulialubis201@gmail.comNala Muthianalamuthia3011@gmail.comAmpun Bantaliampun.bantali@gmail.com
This study aims to describe the implementation of early childhood learning evaluation through a literature review of books, scholarly articles, and official PAUD assessment guidelines. The method used in this study is qualitative research through a phenomenological approach, which is a study that seeks to find the essence of meaning from a phenomenon experienced by several individuals. To apply phenomenological research, the researcher chose transcendental phenomenology, in which the researcher attempts to study a phenomenon by setting aside preconceptions about it. The analysis is based on horizontalization, in which the researcher attempts to study the data by highlighting important statements from participants to provide a basic understanding of the phenomenon. The results of the study show that the trend of wearing the hijab among teenagers, especially at MA Keterampilan NW Pancor, and its influence on attitudes and behavior is more positive and it can be concluded that the driving factors influencing female students to wear the hijab are family, personal, and school environment factors. Those who wear the hijab are more polite in their speech and behavior, better at maintaining their composure when interacting with the opposite sex, and more in control of their attitudes and actions, refraining from acts that violate Islamic law. One strategy widely implemented to instill discipline is the habituation of religious activities in the school environment, especially congregational Dhuha prayer. This study aims to examine the role of congregational Dhuha prayer habituation as a strategy for developing discipline among upper-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research employed a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were collected through a review of scientific articles, national and international journals, and relevant academic works obtained from Google Scholar. A total of ten scientific publications relevant to the research focus were selected and analyzed. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative techniques by reviewing, comparing, and synthesizing findings from previous studies. The results indicate that the habituation of congregational Dhuha prayer, when implemented regularly and systematically, has a positive effect on the development of student discipline at the upper-grade level of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The formed discipline includes time discipline, compliance with school regulations, responsibility, and consistency in learning and religious activities. The effectiveness of this habituation is further strengthened by a religious school culture and the exemplary role of teachers. The classical debate on innate factors (nature) and environmental influences (nurture) in human development has led to the emergence of Convergence Theory, which emphasizes the integration of both aspects. This article aims to examine Convergence Theory from the perspective of Islamic education and analyze its relevance to students’ character formation. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, analyzing educational psychology literature alongside primary Islamic sources such as the Qur’an, Hadith, and classical Muslim scholars’ thoughts. The findings indicate that the Islamic concept of fitrah aligns with the notion of innate potential, while educational environments family, school, and society play a strategic role in guiding and developing this potential. Data were collected through unstructured interviews, participant observation, documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model, including data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the teacher implemented the mimicry-memorization technique through four main stages: listening, imitating, repeating, and memorizing vocabulary. The teacher acted as a language model by providing clear pronounciation examples, while students preated the words collectively. This and reinforced their memory through repetition. However, the study also identified signs of boredom among students and difficulties in memorization when learning lacked engaging media. Therefore, the mimicry-memorization technique should be integrated with visual aids and games to better match the characteristics of elementary learners. When applied creatively, this technique can serve as a relevant and meaningful approach to arabic vocabulary learning in primary education.
2026-04-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Aminhttps://ejournal.staialamin.ac.id/index.php/pgmi/article/view/440The Effect of Argument Mapping-Based Media on Fifth-Grade Students’ Conceptual Understanding in Pancasila Lessons2025-10-06T19:40:23+00:00Juniar AfisaJuniarafisa.lsm@gmail.comMisrinamisrina@iainlhokseumawe.ac.idNuraininuraini@uinsuna.ac.id
Civic education in elementary schools plays an important role in shaping character and understanding of Pancasila values. However, learning methods that still predominantly use lectures often make it difficult for students to understand abstract concepts. This study was conducted to test the urgency of using Argument Mapping-based media as an innovative alternative in improving students' conceptual understanding. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 35 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Blang Mangat, divided into an experimental class (18 students) using Argument Mapping and a control class (17 students) using conventional methods. The instrument was an essay test consisting of 8 items that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed a significant increase in the experimental class (average 72.22 to 91) compared to the control class, with a t-test (p < 0.05) proving a positive effect. It was concluded that the Argument Mapping media was effective in improving students' conceptual understanding and training them to think critically, systematically, and logically.
2026-04-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Aminhttps://ejournal.staialamin.ac.id/index.php/pgmi/article/view/606The Dynamics of Digital Literacy Among Classroom Teachers in Integrating Technology into Learning2026-04-08T15:01:11+00:00Siti Arnanda Makalalagrandamkllag07@gmail.comSiti Savira Pontohvirapontoh20@gmail.comWarraihan Musbihin R.H.Dwarraihanduna421@gmail.comJulfikar Kadirkadirjulfikar433@gmail.comFebrianti Ayubafebriayuba2@gmail.comFitriyanti Sulemanfitriyantisuleman85@gmail.com
This research is motivated by the importance of digital literacy of classroom teachers in supporting the integration of technology in learning in elementary schools. Technological developments require teachers not only to be able to use digital devices technically, but also to integrate them pedagogically so that learning becomes more effective, interesting, and in accordance with the needs of students. In the context of SD Negeri 12 Bintauna, the use of technology in learning has been carried out, but it still shows differences in the level of mastery, form of utilization, and readiness of teachers. This study aims to examine the dynamics of digital literacy of classroom teachers in integrating technology in learning at SD Negeri 12 Bintauna and identify the forms of technology integration carried out by classroom teachers in the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed with stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the digital literacy of classroom teachers is dynamic and develops gradually, but not evenly. Technology is used to find teaching materials, present materials, use visual and video media, communicate, and develop learning administration. It was concluded that technology integration has taken place, but it still needs continuous reinforcement to be more pedagogical, interactive, and student-centered.
2026-04-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Aminhttps://ejournal.staialamin.ac.id/index.php/pgmi/article/view/553The School Environment Shapes Student Character: A Comparative Study of Integrated Islamic Schools and Public Schools in West Nusa Tenggara2026-01-04T17:20:21+00:00Muzawirmuzawirmpd@gmail.com
Character education has become a strategic issue in the national education system. This study aims to analyze the role of the school environment in shaping students’ character and to compare Integrated Islamic Schools (Sekolah Islam Terpadu/SIT) and public schools in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) based on Albert Bandura’s Social Learning Theory. This research employed a qualitative approach with a comparative study method. The research subjects involved 121 informants consisting of teachers, students, and parents from four schools. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings indicate that the school environment plays a significant role in students’ character formation. Integrated Islamic Schools demonstrate more structured and consistent value habituation, while public schools emphasize national and social values. These findings reinforce Bandura’s theory that character is formed through observation, imitation, and social reinforcement.
2026-04-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Aminhttps://ejournal.staialamin.ac.id/index.php/pgmi/article/view/607Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Implementation Strategy in Islamic Religious Education2026-04-08T15:02:41+00:00Sri Afrianita Lasumbunitalasumbu1@gmail.comDissa Pontohdissapontoh@gmail.comMoh. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the strategy of implementing CTL is carried out through associating the material with the student's real life context, using contextual questions, providing concrete examples, modeling, and reflection. The implementation of the dominant CTL components includes constructivism, questioning, modeling, and reflection, while the components of inquiry, learning community, and authentic assessment have not been optimally applied. The application of CTL in Islamic Religious Education learning at SDN 2 Dalapuli has helped create more contextual, active, and meaningful learning for students. Thus, the CTL implementation strategy needs to continue to be strengthened so that all components of contextual learning can be carried out more completely and systematically.
2026-04-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Aminhttps://ejournal.staialamin.ac.id/index.php/pgmi/article/view/616The Implications of Understanding Birrul Walidain in Islamic Religious Education Curriculum for Shaping the Social Attitudes and Ethics of 10th-Grade Students at Takhasus Al-Qur’an High School in Wonosobo2026-05-04T07:54:19+00:00Bambang Sugiyantobambangsugiyanto81@gmail.comRobingun Suyud El-Syamrobyelsyam@unsiq.ac.idIna Niatul Maidahniatumaidah@gmail.com
Islamic Religious Education plays a strategic role in instilling moral values, particularly birrul walidain, as a foundation for shaping students’ social attitudes and ethics. This study aims to examine the implications of students’ understanding of birrul walidain in Islamic Religious Education learning on the social attitudes and ethics of tenth-grade students at SMA Takhassus Al-Qur’an Wonosobo. This research employed a qualitative approach with a field research design. The research subjects consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers, tenth-grade students, and parents. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that students’ understanding of birrul walidain is conceptually adequate but remains largely cognitive and has not been consistently internalized into daily behavior. This understanding significantly influences students’ social attitudes and ethics, as students with better understanding tend to demonstrate respect, empathy, and social responsibility. Therefore, Islamic Religious Education learning should be optimized through role modeling, habituation, and contextual learning to ensure that the value of birrul walidain is reflected in students’ actual behavior.
2026-04-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Aminhttps://ejournal.staialamin.ac.id/index.php/pgmi/article/view/617Teachers’ Strategies for Fostering Interest in Reading the Qur’an Among Fifth-Grade Students at the IBA Foundation Elementary School in Palembang2026-05-04T15:59:51+00:00Rema Auliaauliarema7@gmail.comTutut Handayanitututhandayani_uin@radenfatah.ac.idAgra Dwi Saputraagradwisaputra_uin@radenfatah.ac.idNurlaelinurlaeli_uin@radenfatah.ac.idAmir Hamzahamirhamzah_uin@radenfatah.ac.id
Teachers' strategies have an important role in fostering interest in reading the Qur'an in elementary school students.
