Marriage in Islam is a sacred bond that has broad legal and social aspects. This article discusses the differences in views between Ustaz Abdul Somad and Buya Yahya regarding the law of marriage without a guardian. This study uses a literature study method with descriptive-comparative analysis to examine the views of the two scholars and their application in the context of Islamic law in Indonesia. The results of the study show that although both agree on the importance of a guardian in marriage, there is flexibility in Islamic law that allows the use of a judge guardian in certain conditions. By understanding these differences, Muslims can be wiser in responding to marriage without a guardian in accordance with the principles of Islamic law.
