Abstrak

Learning the science of recitation has become a necessity in this era because mistakes in reading the Koran can change its meaning. The science of tajwid emphasizes the importance of giving each letter its due and reading it according to its makhraj. Even though the law of studying recitation is fardu kifayah, practicing it while reading the Koran is fardu 'ain for adult men and women. TPQ Baitul Mabrur in Barebelik hamlet is experiencing problems in the teaching and learning process, one of which is a shortage of teaching staff. The results of this activity include significant changes, with students who were previously not fluent in reciting the Koran and did not know the laws of reciting Tajweed, becoming fluent in reciting the Koran and understanding the laws of reciting the Al-Qur'an. With the enthusiasm of the students, this program has had a positive impact. The conclusion of this research is that mentoring in learning the science of recitation is effective in improving the ability to read the Al-Qur'an at TPQ Baitul Mabrur. The suggestions put forward involve adding teachers, separating students based on their abilities, and providing teaching aids to support teaching and learning activities at the TPQ.
